Helping Hands-Practical help with odd jobs

At St Matthias church we believe that God cares deeply about our everyday difficulties. Sometimes we all need a helping hand; as a church we would like to offer practical help to those who need it.
The helping hands team exist to help people in our local Community with odd jobs, which they are not able to do themselves or where they can't afford to use a tradesman. We make no charge for the service and provide our own tools the only cost being that of any materials required.
We can help with simple jobs such as gardening, dog walking, shopping, lightbulb changing, and can help with such things as form filling and talking to utility companies etc.
We are unable to help with jobs that require proffessional expertise, however we can help with obtaining quotes from trades people.
Please get in touch if we could help you or someone you know or if you would like to be part of the team offering helping hands. All our volunteers are police checked and work in a minimum of two people
